Let’s Work Together

coaching & mentoring

Do you want change and expansion in your personal or professional life? Do you struggle with the belief that you are enough to create change?  Do you want to identify ways to use your personal power towards creating a better world? Do you not feel seen or heard as a member of a historically marginalized group? Maybe you have been on a journey of self-growth and have embraced your personal power, but you are now ready to be challenged to elevate even further?

If any of this is true for you, then you want to work with me one-on-one. I have had the personal benefit of working with a life coach and mentor for over 10 years resulting in transformational growth, but it took me years to find the right one. Getting the right coach is critically important to getting results that meet your unique needs. Not every coach out there has a proven track record of success in their own personal and professional lives. I do. And much like other professions, a large number of coaches and certification programs do not prioritize knowledge and strategies that support the unique experiences of the most marginalized. It can make finding a coach and mentor that understands you a difficult and daunting process. I am that coach and mentor.

I’ve combined my personal and professional expertise to create the type of support i was looking for from the margin.

As a queer woman and executive leader, I not only offer the value of lived experience and transformative practices from my own self-growth journey, but I have also developed successful programs that address the unique needs and challenges of people from historically marginalized groups. You will also gain insights from my professional journey as an executive and queer woman effectively navigating systems and influencing decision makers while creating and leading mission-driven teams that drive impact. The personal growth plan we create together will be based on that lived experience, knowledge, and expertise.

I coach executives, rising leaders, activists, and everyday people who prefer a confidential coaching relationship to get the highest level of support they need in both life and business. My coaching program starts with a complimentary 20-minute session. Let me show you how to unleash the superhero within you!

I would not be where I am today without Tracey’s mentorship and support. She helped me learn how to create transformational change and lead with values, integrity, and humanity.  I am forever grateful for the confidence and belief she had in me and her pushing me to not give up when I did not believe in myself.

She taught me so much about the power of positive thinking and our ability to create the change we want to see in the world, in ourselves, and in others.

Advising organizations

Too often companies become a part of societal problems, but playing a role in addressing the unique needs of women and marginalized groups can be a point of pride and differentiation. I help organizations protect and create loyalty with women, LGBTQ+ individuals, other marginalized groups, and the communities that support them. As thought leaders, my team and I bring lived experience and decades of public safety, business, and tech industry expertise to provide advisory services for organizations, corporate leaders, and teams on women’s safety, LGBTQ+ and other marginalized group safety, inclusion, and support, and wellbeing initiatives, programs, and partnerships. We assess to help you identify opportunities, partner with you to craft solutions, and support your implementation. Your concrete steps build loyalty and create safe spaces for both employees and consumers.

Your complex challenges require bold, innovative solutions.

The challenges you face today in meeting the needs of your employees and consumers are big and nuanced.  Balancing these safety, inclusion, and wellbeing needs with other business imperatives is a complex process to undertake.  We believe that when you prioritize the safety, inclusion, and wellbeing of women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and other marginalized groups, you create a better experience for everyone. We help you develop the capabilities to tackle your challenges by assessing your programs, platforms, and products to identify gaps and opportunities and then support you in developing and implementing solutions that drive both employee and consumer engagement.

When you partner with DTL, you work directly with me and my team, getting the benefit of our extensive experience leading women’s and marginalized community safety initiatives at brands including Uber, Tinder, Match, and FedEx, plus in my case the experience of my decade in law enforcement. Our goal is to help you make your employees and consumers feel protected, recognize a deep sense of belonging, and have access to inclusive programs and products that support their safety and holistic wellbeing.

Together, we create safe spaces.

Safety & Wellbeing Assessments

Whether you are in the beginning of your program or product design journey, feeling stuck, or ready to raise the bar, we utilize our expertise to provide an in-depth, systemic assessment to help you identify your next steps, bold moves, and long-term holistic strategies.

Women’s Safety

Women, including trans women, gender-queer women, and non-binary people who are significantly female-identified, face unique safety and wellbeing concerns.  Many intersecting characteristics, such as race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and disability status, compound their vulnerability to violence, harassment, discrimination, and access to critical healthcare and other necessary benefits. These unique concerns call for unique solutions.

LGBTQ+ & MARGINALIZED COMMUNITY SAFETY

Even though we’ve seen tremendous progress and shifting social attitudes towards the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized groups, global human rights abuses, employment discrimination, anti-LGBTQ+ laws, and violence against marginalized communities persist at alarming rates. Creating a truly inclusive company and platform requires a holistic approach.

Employee Wellbeing

Today’s employment environment is rapidly evolving and your employees want a holistic approach to wellbeing. We work with you to transform your company culture and build employee loyalty by crafting bold and innovative programs designed to disrupt old systems and meet these shifting needs.

Strategic Partnerships

We help you level up your organization, products, and platforms by facilitating strategic expert partnerships and supporting expert partner collaboration that doesn’t slow down your product and program work, but helps you meet your goals while creating a positive impact on behavior and society both on and beyond your platform.

Strategic Communications

Communicating to employees, consumers, and the public about safety and wellbeing concerns and initiatives that support women, the LGBTQ+ community, and other marginalized groups requires specific expertise in order to develop a thoughtful, nuanced strategy and response to what are often the most complex and challenging issues your organization is facing. We have the expertise to guide you.

RESULTS THAT Create Impact

Across various industries and organizations, the DTL leadership team has taken a holistic, multi-faceted approach to addressing challenges both proactively and reactively. We have had success operationalizing some of the most complex initiatives in the most nuanced spaces resulting in partnerships with more than 30 women’s safety & LGBTQ+ third-party expert groups globally; product features that have reduced harassing messages 10%; off-the-record industry events focusing on the needs of women; consumer safety campaigns and programs that enhance employee wellbeing; improved public relations and regulatory body and law enforcement relationships; and education programs and training for sexual violence and human trafficking prevention. And these are just a few of the wins my team and I have had. Most importantly, in everything we do, we strive to create safer and more inclusive spaces for employees and consumers.

Driving Change for Safety at Uber

While working at Uber, we partnered with teams across the company to improve the safety of women and marginalized communities by prioritizing their safety inside and outside the organization. By partnering with more than 30 third-party safety expert groups globally, we created a multi-pronged approach to educate users, empower and care for employees, and build a safer platform.

Upleveling Safety and Inclusion in Online Dating

When working in the online dating space, we focused on creating safe and inclusive spaces online and in real life. By leveraging new technology, including consumer background checks and education models for harassing messages, and forging partnerships with leading third-party expert groups, we helped pioneer several industry firsts for online dating.

Galvanizing Industry Leaders for Impact

Most of the issues that one company faces are faced by all companies in an industry. While competition creates compelling differentiators, we believe that the safety of people should be a company’s core competency, never a competitive advantage. During our time at Uber, we brought executives and leaders across the travel, transportation, and tech industries together to foster discussions on safety best practices, industry resources, and industry-wide research to better serve women and marginalized communities.

Creating Holistic Employee Wellbeing

As many as 8 out of 10 of employees feel disengaged regarding their work. This disengagement impacts employee satisfaction and retention, creativity and ingenuity, and your bottom line as well. By listening to understand deeply what employees want from employers in the current times of social uncertainty and in the face of the personal impacts that result, we’ve created programs, policies, and practices that address what matters most to your most important asset – your people.
